The job

This is a unique opportunity in the market to lead, develop and execute digital marketing strategies for one of the UK’s most exciting and fastest growing agencies.

The role can be based out of either our London office in the heart of Fitzrovia or our impressive Liverpool HQ. Reporting directly to the CEO and working very closely with the CTO you will be tasked with developing cutting edge digital strategies, managing partnerships and helping drive forward the unique proprietary technology being built internally.

A natural leader and innovator, you will live at the intersection of marketing and product development, leading the team as they conquer consumer acquisition, conversion and retention. You’ll work cross-functionally to design and execute digital growth initiatives, utilising the latest tools and technology to keep the agency at the bleeding edge of digital.

The Lead Agency is a performance business with all decisions based on data. This role requires absolute understanding of the detailed marketing channel data combined with excellent analytical skills and an accountant like focus on the numbers!

The responsibilities

The Head of Digital’s mission is to deliver innovative digital marketing tactics, growing the return on investment from digital marketing activity. You will own the full digital marketing funnel from acquisition through to conversion and retention. Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead the role of growth within the business, implementing a framework for prioritising and testing growth-specific product improvements
  • Establish the digital growth plan to drive traffic, user acquisition, conversion and retention; prioritising gaps and quantifying progress in line with KPI’s for business priorities and profit targets
  • Help develop targets and ensure performance is front and centre of all execution.
  • Negotiate deals with key partners and ensure they are adding value above and beyond the standard terms of service.
  • Lead the team of digital marketing specialists, coordinating and executing growth campaigns aligning all market-facing functions
  • Work with your team to build and monitor a comprehensive data infrastructure to analyse user behaviour, targeted campaigns and marketing initiatives such Google Analytics, Optimizely, VWO, UnBounce (The tools of your choice) etc
  • Support product development by providing insights into integrating marketing technologies with the core business systems
  • Support the development of outbound focused technology within the business
  • Implement and manage a cross channel marketing platform
  • Constantly seek new channels and opportunities for lead growth & spearhead marketing automation platforms
