Learning and Growth Officer
The Job

The Lead Agency is looking for an individual to own the learning, development and growth of our people. This position requires the Learning and Growth Officer to take ownership and evolve our processes to equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out their work effectively.

You’ll be required to be strategic, assessing the skills and knowledge within the company to determine what training is needed to grow and retain our people in conjunction with our mission.

Responsibilities
  • Identify training and development needs within the company through job analysis, our career progression framework and regular consultation with team leaders.
  • Design and expand training and development programmes based on the needs of the company and the individual.
  • Work independently to produce training programmes aimed at all levels of the company.
  • Consider and communicate the costs of planned programmes ahead of any delivery.
  • Reporting to measure the effectiveness of all training programmes through discussions, surveys and the available data.
  • Develop and continually review the induction programme for new staff.
  • Devise career progressions plans in conjunction with department heads for roles across the business.
  • Produce training materials for in-house courses.
  • Arrange and facilitate external training.
  • Manage the delivery of training and development programmes.
  • Identify and help line managers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
  • Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.
Skills
  • Minimum 4 years commercial experience in learning development position.
  • Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels of an organisation, motivate others and change people’s attitudes when necessary
  • Written and spoken communication skills that allow you to inform and advise others clearly
  • Presentation skills
  • Initiative and the ability to offer new ideas
  • Strong team-working skills and a collaborative approach to learning, both face-to-face and remotely
  • Organisational and planning skills to manage your time and to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Good time-keeping skills and the ability to multitask to enable you to effectively manage training schedules
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and innovative approach to work
  • Personal commitment to improving your own knowledge and skills and a passion for continuing learning and development.
  • Experience with organisation design and development
  • A psychology related degree would be advantageous
  • Coaching and mentoring experience would be advantageous
